L.A.에서 활동하고 있는 백영경은 평소에 ‘아트 카’에 관심이 많았던 작가다. 이번 전시에는 빈티지 자동차를 활용해 고풍스런 느낌과 좀 더 현대화해 밝아진 이미지를 조화시켜 미지의 세계로 지상의 물질과 색채를 품고 빛의 속도로 순간이동 할 것 같은 형상을 탄생시켰다. 작가는 이를 통해 영적 순환과 구원의 개별적 인식을 표출하고자 했다고 한다.

차체는 형광 메탈의 노란색으로 도장을 해 햇볕에서 반짝이는 느낌이 나도록 했고 장식 부위마다 다른 색을 입혀 눈길을 끌게 했다. 차량 적재함에 접목해 실린 오브제들은 혼합 조각 작품이며 전시물처럼 진열되어 있다. 재현된 바나나 조각인데 고유의 컬러와 표면을 변형해 에일리언 바나나(Alien Banana)로 명명했다. 초현실적인 자동차에 한가득 작가의 비현실적인 꿈을 실어 보내왔다. 

A surreal car filled with the artist’s imagination reached here. Young K Paik, who works in L.A., has always been interested in ‘art cars.’ In this exhibition, the vintage car appeals an antiquated yet cheerful image with bright yellow colors, creating a shape as if it is transported at the speed of light to an unknown world. Through this, the artist sought to express individual awareness of spiritual circulation and salvation.

The surface painted in fluorescent metal yellow making it sparkle in the sunlight, and different colors are applied to each decorative part attracting viewers' eye. The recreated banana piece is named Alien Banana by modifying its original color and surface. The objects grafted onto the vehicle's cargo compartment as mixed sculptures displayed along with the car.
