〈2개의 그림자〉는 3채널 영상인데 가운데 화면에 국적 분별이 애매한 한 아이와 좌우 양면에 아이의 측면 그림자가 반복 재생된다. 공간에 설치된 전구의 불빛과 함께 마치 그림자놀이에 반응하는 아이의 묘한 표정에 관객의 시선이 몰입된다. 그림자를 통해 아이의 ’이미지‘는 이윽고 서로 다른 국적을 가진 부모의 그림자로 장면이 바뀌게 된다. 마지막에는 아이가 이방인으로서 겪게 될 암시적 상황과 그 미래에의 질문이 그림자로 남겨져 아이를 에워싼다. 단순한 설정으로 시작하여 주제를 성찰하는 깊은 여운을 남기는 방식이 인상적인데 이런 식의 은유와 상징 방법이 김해민 작품의 특징이라고 할 수 있다.​

〈Two Shadows〉 is a three-channel video, with a child whose nationality is ambiguous in the center screen and the child's side shadows playing repeatedly on both left and right sides. The audience's attention is immersed in the child's strange expression as if he or she is reacting to a shadow play, along with the light from the light bulb installed in the space. Through the shadows, the child's 'image' soon changes into the shadows of parents of different nationalities. At the end, the implicit situation the child will experience as a stranger and questions about the future are left in the shadows and surround the child. The method of starting with a simple setting and leaving a deep lingering impression of reflecting on the subject is impressive, and metaphor as such and symbolism are features of Kim Hae-min's work.​
